oven squirrell 
This is a begining wood shop project. It teaches the use of the bandsaw, sanders, handsanding and finishing. It is a useful project for bakers.

Cuts are very rough. Does not follow shape at all. Evident that more practice is needed with bandsaw.

Many band saw lines. Lots of sanding required. Careless following of pattern lines.

Band saw lines on concaves, not fluid shape. Lines not followed very closely
Achieving

Fluid shape , still needs sanding on inside curves
Excelling

sinuous shape, ribbon like with no breaks, no bandsaw marks, "easy to read" grain
finish

Redo

No sanding done. Very rough. No paint or stain. Evident that no care was taken when finishing
Beginning

Not much care taken with finish, many runs or large blotches, More sanding required for smooth finish.
Developing

Uneven finish, lots of streaks and runs.
Achieving

Smooth finish, paint ro stain has minor runs or streaks
Excelling

Smooth, even finish
Care is evident
