3-D App online/sketch Rubric - Design of Room

Use an app or sketch or create a box 3-D room using the principles and elements of design. Use color and objects to create all the elements along with traffic flow patterns.

	Advanced 20 pts	Proficient 15 pts	Needs Improvement 10 pts
Reproduction	Advanced Final image is a good representation of the elements and principles of design. All parts are present and created the design with traffic pattern in mind along with great use of color and space.	Proficient Final 3D image has a likeness to the original image. Some parts may be missing/rendered poorly.	Needs Improvement Final 3D image does not represent the students original image or explanation.
Craftsmanship	Advanced Final image is well-done. It is neat and the student followed all the guidelines for the project.	Proficient Final image is well-done overall but lacking in some areas. Student made an attempt to follow the guidelines but fell short in some areas.	Needs Improvement Final image seems sloppy, poorly crafted or is incomplete. Student did not follow guidelines for the project. Objects are out of proportion.
Sketch knowledge and Ability	Advanced Student demonstrated a high level of understanding and usage of sketch and placement of the objects.	Proficient Student showed an accomplished level of understanding and usage of sketch and improvement was shown.	Needs Improvement Students showed little or no understanding and little improvement in using on line Sketch.
Sketch	Advanced The sketch is complete with measurements and is drawn to scale. The sketch also creates an excellent 2-D representation of the room with all the necessary details.	Proficient The sketch is missing a few key details and measurements. A few aspects of the original design are left out, but the viewer gets an overall feel for the design.	Needs Improvement The sketch is incomplete and missing most necessary detail. It does not provide the viewer with a good understanding of the model used to create the 3-D design.
Time Management	Advanced Student spends a great amount of time on the project, is focused on it by sending a progress report and turned in on time. Student made contact with the teacher when clarification was needed.	Proficient Student is on task and sent a progress report by the end of the week. Student made contact with teacher for clarification but did not follow through.	Needs Improvement Student has to be reminded to stay on task and send a progress report. Student did not contact the teacher when clarification was needed.
