Ms Mounts 2nd Grade behavior Rubric 
This rubric is a weekly overview of your child's behavior during class. Each week, this and any other required information will be sent home on Friday. Any questions, comments, or concerns can be discussed the following week or via email during my office hours stated in the syllabus.

Student always respects others opinions, experiences, ideas and values. They also respect other students personal space and belongings.

Student is mostly respectful towards others opinions, experiences, ideas and values. They also usually respect other students personal space and belongings.
Sometimes (2)

Student is sometimes respectful towards others opinions, experiences, ideas and values. They sometimes struggle with respecting other students personal space and belongings.

Student is rarely respectful towards others opinions, experiences, ideas and values. They struggle with respecting other students personal space and belongings.
Preparedness

Always (5)

On-time and always ready to start class at 8:20. The student makes an effort to be in uniform and has all of their required items out for the next lesson.
Mostly (3-4)

Student is mostly on-time and usually ready to start class at 8:20. The student makes an effort to be in uniform and has most of their required items out for the next lesson.
Sometimes (2)

Student is sometimes on-time and ready to start class at 8:20. The student sometimes makes an effort to be in uniform and has a few of their required items out for the next lesson.
Rarely (1)

Student is rarely on-time and ready to start class at 8:20. The student is rarely/never in uniform and does not have their required items out for the next lesson.
Listening

Always (5)

Student is quiet and actively listening to the teacher, presenter or other staff speaking. When instructions are given the student does the required action immediately.
Mostly (3-4)

Student is usually quiet and actively listening to the teacher, presenter or other staff speaking. When instructions are given the student mostly the required action.
Sometimes (2)

Student is sometimes quiet and actively listening to the teacher, presenter or other staff speaking. They require warnings to settle down during lessons. When instructions are given the student sometimes does the required action.
Rarely (1)

Student is rarely quiet and struggles with actively listening to the teacher, presenter or other staff speaking. They require multiple warnings to settle down during lessons. When instructions are given the student rarely does the required action.
Participation

Always (5)

In class, the student is engaged in the topic, project or assignment. They ask questions and make an effort to engage with their classmates.
Mostly (3-4)

In class, the student is mostly engaged in the topic, project or assignment. They usually ask questions and try to make an effort to engage with their classmates.
Sometimes (2)

In class, the student is sometimes engaged in the topic, project or assignment. They sometimes ask questions and sometimes try to make an effort to engage with their classmates.
Rarely (1)

In class, the student is rarely engaged in the topic, project or assignment. They rarely ask questions and don't actively make an effort to engage with their classmates.
