Hand position- Thumbs together	need improvement Student's hands and thumbs are seperated.	poor Student keeps one hand ontop of the other, and keeps thumbs together some of the time.	fair Student usually keeps one hand ontop of the other, and keeps thumbs together.	good The student always keeps one hand ontop of the other, and keeps thumbs together. MMP- keeps striking surface flat
Body postion- Knees bent	need improvement Students body is in an up-right position and standing straight up.	poor Students knees are bent some of the time.	fair Student usually has knees bent, with one foot in front of the other.	good Students knees are always slightly bent. One foot in front of the other, and arms in front. MMP- Moves into position
Making contact- Shrug shoulders	need improvement Student swings arms at the ball.	poor Student shrugs shoulders some of the time, and occasionally swings at the ball.	fair Student usually shrugs shoulders, and bumps the ball.	good Student always shrugs shoulders to ears when making contact, and bumps the ball at an angle, not straight up towards ceiling.
