Biome Flipbook Biome Flipbook This rubric is to assess students ability to take information from different sources and to record information in a workable study guide such as a flip book. Biome Flipbook Create a flipbook of your chosen biome. You will be marked as per the following criteria.
	Developing (N/A)	Proficient (N/A)	Extending (N/A)
Presentation This is the way the flip-book looks.	Developing Presentation is untidy with no colors used.	Proficient Presentation is readable with some color.	Extending Presentation is neat and the use of color is attractive to presentation.
Content The content is that based on the information that the student uses to describe the different biomes.	Developing The content is written in incomplete phrases that do not show an actual description of the different biomes.	Proficient The content is written in partially written sentences that show that the student described the biomes with little thought.	Extending The content is written in complete sentences that show that the student did describe the biomes with understanding and extra effort.
Pictures/illustrations Students will draw pictures to describe the biome.	Developing Little or no illustrations with no colors used.	Proficient Had illustrations with colors, but were not totally correct in biome descriptions.	Extending Used illustrations and colors to present an actual look at the biome.
Use of Class Time	Developing Did not use time well during each class period. Lacked focus on completing the project. Often distracted.	Proficient Used some of the time well during each class period. Some focus on completing the project. Occasional distractions.	Extending Used time well during each class period. Focused on completing the project. No distractions.
