Folk Dance Folk Dance Choose a folk dance that is performed at parties and other social occasions.You will need to research and learn the dance, and give a demonstration and/or lesson to your classmates. Be prepared to tell where your dance originated and any history associated with it. Knowlege Gained	Excellent Student demonstrate knowledge of the folk dance through the execution of the dance and explanation of the culture.	Good Student demonstrate some knowledge of the folk dance through the execution of the dance and explanation of the culture.	Fair Student demonstrate little knowledge of the folk dance through the execution of the dance and has difficulties explaining the culture.	Needs Improvement Student does not demonstrate knowledge of the folk dance through the execution of the dance and can not explain the culture.
Criteria	Excellent 1) dance reflects the culture of the target country 2) dance is a traditional folk dance 3) cultural information was memorized	Good Contains all required elements.
