Color	Excellent Color is used in a very expressive manner. A varied range of color and intensity (value range of darks, highlights, and mid tones) and all objects are shaded.	Good Color is used in a somewhat expressive way. Colors have been blended showing proficiency in medium.	Fair Color is used in an average way. Color is added to most of the objects and shading somewhat reflects the actual color of the objects. Attempts to blend colors.	Poor Color is lifeless and below average. Little or weak color is added to enhance the objects. Shading is not used and does not reflect the color of the objects. No blending seen.
Composition	Excellent Composition is interesting with balanced negative space. All four edges are engaged (object touches or goes off the page) and spacing is even. Open composition is displayed	Good Composition is average with some unbalanced negative space. All four edges are engaged and most spacing is even.	Fair Composition is average with most negative space unbalanced. Several edges are not engaged, balanced and most spacing is uneven.	Poor Composition is uninteresting and does not appear to be thought out. Appears unfinished.
