Movement Knowledge	Excellent Dancer knows the movement extremely well. They are confident and don't need to follow anyone else. Dancer has a great sense of timing, direction, and energy.	Good Dancer knows the movement fairly well. They keep together, and have a fairly good sense of timing & direction. Only a few mistakes made.	Needs Improvement Dancer is somewhat unprepared and unsure of the choreography. There is some sense of timing or direction.	Poor Dancer is unprepared and unsure of the choreography. There is no sense of timing or direction.
Performance Quality	Excellent Dancer performs with full confidence. They perform with enthusiasm, and are invested in their audience as well as the other dancers onstage.	Good Dancer performs with minimal distractions. They look fairly confident and prepared for most of the performance.	Needs Improvement Dancer is sometimes distracted and insecure. They sometimes break the performance by looking around or giggles when a mistake is made.	Poor Dancer is clearly distracted and insecure. Often breaking the performance by looking around and looks lost.
Technique	Excellent Technical skill is strong and present in all movements. Dancer has clearly given much attention/precision to hand/arm positions, leg/foot/body placement.	Good Dancer has a good understanding of technical skill. Dancer does a good job of understanding leg/foot/body placement. There are only a few areas of improvement/precision needed.	Needs Improvement Dancer shows some technical skill. Dancer needs to pay more close attention/precision to hand/arm positions and leg/foot/body placement. Need to give more special care in cleaning sessions to the items mentioned.	Poor Dancers does not use technique skills properly. Dance does not have a clear understanding of hand/arm positions and leg/foot/body placement. Dancer needs significant work and one on precision.

Character(Facials)	Excellent Strong and consistent evidence that the dancers not only understand the correct character we are portraying, but is able to use facial expression to add interest and variety to their dance.	Good All of the elements of the character are present and the dancers understand what it is.	Needs Improvement Some of the Characters portrayed in the dance are present. Dancer is not consistent presenting the characters we want to portray in the dance.	Poor Dancer did not portray any character during the dance.
Rehearsal Effort	Excellent Dancer demonstrates great effort, focus, and drive to learn dance during rehearsal and has shown consistent improvement.	Good Dancer demonstrates a reasonable amount of effort, focus, and drive to learn dance during rehearsal and has been consistent. Has only a few things to improve.	Needs Improvement Dancer shows minimal effort, focus, and drive to learn dance during rehearsal and has been inconsistent. Has several areas to improve.	Poor Dancer shows no effort, focus, or drive during rehearsal and needs to work harder at being motivated to improve.
