8th- Tiger Enlargement Drawing

Students will enlarge and transfer a tiger image using a grid technique. They will learn to measure with and use a ruler correctly. Students will apply their knowledge of learned vocabulary, such as value, shading, and blending.

Completion	Excellent! The whole paper is covered, filled in with shading, grid lines are erased, and the drawing is neat, smudge free, and displays a full range of values.	Above Average The whole paper is covered, leaving no blank spaces. There are maybe some grid lines showing due to pressing to hard in the beginning.	Good The paper is covered by the tiger image, but fails to be shaded, has a middle tone value overall, and could use some more contrast. Grid marks, etc.	Fair There was a rush to finish and no real effort was placed on completing the project as instructed. The image may lack value, neatness, craft, and overall presentation.	Poor/no attempt No attempt was made to complete the assignment.
Value	Excellent! A full range of values was used on the drawing. The definion and application of value was done clearly and intentionally with care.	Above Average Drawing shows a pretty solid range of value. Attemps were made to incorporate a range of value into the drawing. Done neatly.	Good The was a steady effort made to incorporate value into the drawing, but maybe it wasn't the main concern for you to accomplish.	Fair Very little focus was placed on any range of value. Most of the drawing seems to have one or two tones over all.	Poor/no attempt No attempt was made to show knowledge of value in this project.
Effort/Attitude	Excellent! Puts full effort into projects; always has a positive attitude; works the entire time.	Above Average Make consistant effort on project; usually has a positive attitude; works majority of the time.	Good Makes a steady effort on project; has somewhat of a positive attitude; works some of the time.	Fair Makes very little effort on project; little to no positive attitude; makes very little use of the time given.	Poor/no attempt No effort was made thoughtout this project. Student possessed a terrible attitude throughout the duration of the project.
Followed Directions	Excellent! Followed exacly as directed; excellent use of instruction	Above Average Followed closely as directed; good use of techniques	Good Followed the general idea of the given instructions. satisfactory application of the instructions given.	Fair There is evidence that instruction was not followed. Minimal application of any directed instruction.	Poor/no attempt Directions were not followed at all.
Accuracy	Excellent! The student paid close attention to visual placement of line and shape as directed. The image was transfered neatly and placed intentionally.	Above Average The image was transfered well but not to the fullest potential of the student. Some lines and shapes maybe missed placed, but overall the images hold up to the origional.	Good Transfered the general shapes and lines of the overall image. No real deatail was included.	Fair The image was drawn with little regard for the image itself. Very few lines and shapes were correctly transfered, due to lack of observation.	Poor/no attempt Student made no attempt to reference the image given to enlarge. Image is completely off scale.
