Student Learning Journal Student will keep a learning journal and make five entries which include student notes about learning.	Miles to Go! Student has made less than 5 journal entries and entries are short and not responding to reading material. No reflection.	Almost There! Student has made 5 journal entries. Entries lack detail and are self reflective.	Good Job! Student has made 5 journal entries. Entries include rich detail in response to reading and are self reflective.
Website Visits Student will log onto teacher chosen websites in four areas: Learning Styles, Metacognition, Gardners' Multiple Intelligences and Learning Style survey.	Miles to Go! Student has logged on to some of the teacher chosen sites. Has not done all the reading and activities.	Almost There! Student has logged on to all the teacher chosen websites. Has not completed all the reading and activities.	Good Job! Student has logged on to all the teacher chosen websites, completed all the reading and activities.
Class Participation Student participates in Whole class, small group and partnership activities and discussion.	Miles to Go! Students remained quiet during whole class discussion and activities, did not contribute in partnerships or small group activities.	Almost There! Student made small contributions in whole class discussion and activities, contributed in partnership and small group discussion and activities.	Good Job! Student made several contributions in whole class discussion and activities, contributed actively in partnership and small group discussion and activities.
Presentation Students gives either written or oral presentation about somebody they know with a strong Multiple Intelligenc trait.	Miles to Go! Student gave a oral presentation or written report lacking in details and understanding about someone they know with a strong Multiple Intelligence trait.	Almost There! Student gave a oral presentation or written report about someone they know with a strong Multiple Intelligence trait.	Good Job! Student gave a thorough, detailed oral presentation or written report with understanding about someone they know with a strong Multiple Intelligence trait.
