Pattern Reading	F: 1 Student does not attempt to read and follow guide sheet directions. B: 4 Student reads guide sheet and understands what is written. Student is able to perform most sewing tasks with out additional help.	A: 5 Student reads guide sheet and understands what is written. Seams/ Seams-matching	F: 1 Most seams incorrect width. Edges are not matched. Seams are sewn crooked. Notches are not matched properly.	D: 2 At least 50% of the seams are correct. Edges are matched. Most of sewing is incorrect and zipper does not close properly. Stitching is crooked and steps were not followed correctly.	C: 3 80% of the closure is present, but does not open and close correctly. Incorrect sewing technique was used to apply closure to the garment. Sttiching is sloppy and edges are not finished.	B: 4 100% of steps are done correctly but stitching is not neat and threads are not tied properly. Zipper is not centered over seam line. Threads are not tied at the bottom. Raw edges are still showing is spots.	A: 5 All steps have been done correctly . Stitching is straight and matched on both sides. Raw edges at top are hidden in seam allowance. bottom threads are tied in knots on the back side. Basting stitches have been removed and zipper looks like store bought

Overall Construction	F: 1 THe garment overall is messy none of the loose strings were cut. None of the raw edges were finshed, very wrinkled not ironed at all	D: 2 THe garment was some what clean. Most of the raw edges were finished. most of the loose strings were cut. Was not ironed one last time	C: 3 The garment was mostly clean. Most of the raw edges were finished only one or two were left raw. Garment was ironed before last step	B: 4 The garment is clean. All the raw edges are finished. all the loose strings were cut. All the notches matched up. Garment was not ironed as the last step.	A: 5 The garment is clean. All the raw edges are finished. all the loose strings were cut.
