	Poor 0 pts	Fair 1 pts	Good 2 pts	Outstanding 3 pts
Topic Relevancy	Poor Post shows no consideration for the topic or assignment requirements; does not add to discussion.	Fair Post shows some consideration for the assignment; adds a little to the discussion.	Good Post reflects topic, the requirements for the assignment and sufficient content and ideas.	Outstanding Post reflects topic, the requirements for the assignment and substantial content and ideas.
Substantive	Poor Post is not significantly developed or thought-out; does not meet minimum requirements.	Fair Post is not well developed or thought out.	Good Post is basically thought out and ideas are essentially developed. It is respectful of the ideas of others. Meets minimum requirements.	Outstanding Post is well thougt out and ideas are well developed. Post significantly enhances the discussion. It is respectful of the ideas of others. Exceeds minimum requirements.
Timliness/Replies	Poor Students did not post on time nor did the student reply to any posts.	Fair Student did not post on time, but did reply to two other posts.	Good Student posted on time and replied to at least one other post.	Outstanding Student posted to the discussion board on time and replied to at least 2 other posts.
