Oral Presentation- Book Report 6 due 01/18/11
Students will give a short, 5-paragraph presentation to the class on "Touching Spirit Bear." Students will be given a class essay topic, which will be copied from the board onto the back of this rubric. Students will focus on the assigned essay topic in their thesis statement, and prove their thesis in the three-paragraph body of the presentation, including transitions, textual evidence and page numbers. The presentation will begin with an introduction and end with a conclusion. Students are required to have an extra typed copy of their report to project on the board during their presentation, and hand in this self-graded rubric before their presentation on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. 10 points will be deducted for students who do not have a typed copy or who lose this rubric.
