Prospective LA Teacher Interview Evaluation 
Exceptional (4.5) = "4" plus the candidate’s response reveals authoritative expertise and advanced leadership/teamwork skills. Excellent (4) = Demonstrates sound knowledge of educational research, strong ownership or mastery of best practices, significant professional judgment associated with master teachers, and insightful professional experiences. Capable (3.5) = Candidate demonstrates mostly sound knowledge of educational research, familiarity with best practices, sufficient professional judgment and acuity to be an effective teacher with proper guidance, support, and professional development. Candidate’s qualities merit district’s investment. Commendable (3) = Reveals thoughtfulness despite inaccurate or limited response. Inadequate (1) = Reveals a significant deficiency in educational research, best practices, and professional judgment, which may or may not stem from a limited teaching experience or requisite acuity, demeanor, or work ethic.
