	Fail 1 pts	Pass 33.3 pts
Scalpel Handle Direction	Fail Anything other than pass description.	Pass Student held loaded scalpel handle with point facing them and cutting edge facing away from their hand.
Position of fingers	Fail Anything other than pass description.	Pass The thumb and the index finger hold the handle in a supinated position.
Passing to surgeon	Fail Anything other than pass description.	Pass Pronation of the hand is done when passing and placing in awaiting surgeon's hand. the surgeon does not have to readjust to begin incision.
