Button - stitches	Needs Improvement Most stitches are untidy with many loops. The needle rarely went in and out of the same holes. Some stitches go over the edge of the button or over the edge of the fabric.	On the Way Some stitches are neat and free of any loops. The needle sometimes went in and out of the same holes. Button - shank	Needs Improvement Student forgot to wrap a shank.	On the Way Thread was inconsistently wrapped under the button. The fabric puckers	Almost There Thread was wrapped about 5 times under the button to produce a shank but the fabric puckers.	Wow Thread was snugly wrapped about 5 times under the button to produce a shank. The fabric lies flat and doesn't pucker.
Knots	Needs Improvement Student forgot to knot the thread.	On the Way The knots are inconsistent (too big or too small, perhaps with loops). The ends of thread weren't cut close to the knot.	Almost There The knots on the back of the fabric are for the most part neat or the ends of the threads weren't cut close to the knot	Wow The knots on the back of the fabric are consistently neat. Overall Appearance How does your Button look?	Needs Improvement The button does not look neat. It does not appear that care was not taken with details.
