History Presentation

Each student must make a two to three minute presentation on a topic that they select. Visual aids are required for the presentation. Examples of the aids includes, but are not limited to a poster, handout, photographs, PowerPoint, or maps. You must tell your fellow classmates the important points (summarize) of the assigned material and explain these points through visual aids or other means.

Presentation	Excellent Showed determination to do well; was well prepared, kept the audience engaged, only used notes to glance at to keep on track. Well organized and professionally dressed. Used a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms.	Good Showed adequate preparation and used notes more than preferable. Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly.	Average Relied heavily on notes, showed little or no preparation. Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of the class to hear.	Poor Didn't present.
Time Length	Excellent Student had enough material to easily speak for 2-3 minutes without repeating anything.	Good Student had enough information to speak for 1-2 minutes.	Average Student repeated information to stretch time.	Poor Had little or no information.
Content / Comprehension	Excellent Showed interest and excitement in material. Student understood and felt completely comfortable with the information in their project.	Good Student had some understanding of the content in their project.	Average Showed minimal interest or excitement over the material. Student seemed to not fully understand the content they researched.	Poor Didn't present.
Visual Display	Excellent Student successfully constructed a detailed and creative PowerPoint presentation or visual aid to accompany their presentation.	Good Student adequately completed their visual display.	Average Student had no or only some of their visual ready for presentation.	Poor Didn't present.
