Clean Desk Rubric
	Proficient 3 pts	Partially Proficient 2 pts	Emerging 1 pts
Folders and Notebooks organized, all papers in correct folders.	Proficient All papers in folders, neat, organized, with name & number on all folders and notebooks. Subject Names on all folders and notebooks.	Partially Proficient Some papers missing, names and subjects not on folders or notebooks	Emerging Papers shoved inside desk. Some may be missing name and/or number. Folders or notebooks missing, ripped, or messy.
Desk Inside of desk is clean	Proficient More than one sharpened pencil in the front of the desk, no food wrappers, pencil sharpenings or other trash.	Partially Proficient More than one pencil and one pen loose inside desk. Or trash, food wrappers and other messes.	Emerging Pencils and pens scattered around inside desk or none in desk at all. trash and wrappers and other messes.
Books (textbooks, reading books, resources . . .)	Proficient Stacked neatly inside desk without loose papers in them. One reading book that you have begun, another that you are reading next ready to go. No extra books.	Partially Proficient Stacked neatly inside desk without loose papers in them. Only one reading book (no spare book)	Emerging Shoved inside desk. Some may belong in extra cubby or on classroom bookshelves. Too many books, none, or few, that are at your level.
