Value Composition in Pencil. Demonstrates the students ability to create the Illusion of volume or form using the elements of Form and Value. Composition uses at least 3 objects that overlap; value is added to the contour drawing. Composition shows at least 3-4 values of shading and includes the 5 Principles of Shading: highlight, shade, shadow, reflected light and backshading.

PROFICIENT Tries to show varying values from one light source. Shows 3-4 values of shading. Missing some areas of value.
