Master Copy Cat Painting

Students will create a reproduction of painting completed by an artist of their choice, in acrylic paint. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of acrylic paint techniques and material care. Level 1 -Student demonstrates limited understanding of placement and proportion in their reproduction of the original painting.
Values: Tints, Tones and Shades	Level 4 -Student found at least four values and expertly applied his/her skills to exhibit in the painting.	Level 3 --Student found at least 3 values and expertly applied his/her skills to exhibit in the painting.	Level 2 --Student found at least 2 values and expertly applied his/her skills to exhibit in the painting.	Level 1 --Student did not show any knowledge and/or skills of values and did not apply his/her skills to the painting.
Craftsmanship	Level 4 -Student’s project is neat & clean. Student understood materials and used them properly. (nice brushstrokes, clean edges, full coverage/even coats of paint)	Level 3 -Student’s project is neat & clean. Student mostly understood materials and used them properly.	Level 2 -Student’s project is fairly neat & clean. Student had trouble with materials and their useage.	Level 1 -Student’s project was constructed carelessly and is sloppy.
