Rubric For Earth’s Geologic Time Scale

The objective of this assignment is for students to learn and review the timeline of the Earth’s geologic time scale over the last 542 million years, also known as the Phanerozoic Eon. Students are expected to make a timeline of the names of the eons, eras, periods and epochs. In addition to the the names, students need to include the appropriate timeframe for each part of this timeline and include at least 3 key events that occurred during each period of time.
