4th Grade Reading Response Rubric

This is a reading rubric built for my Reading Workshop. I added a Reading Behavior section and think this will work for me. I hope it works for others, as well. **I also wanted to add 1-2 under the weighting for the Poor column.

Reading Workshop Behavior	Poor Your don't usually begin reading right away after directions are given and you get distracted during reading time. -You can't always find your journal and waste time so you don't finish your entry for the day.	So-so -You sometimes start reading after directions are given and help others to do the same. -You sometimes stay focused during reading time, but not usually. You sometimes can find your journal and don't usually begin right away, which means sometimes you don't finish your entry for the day.	Good -You usually start reading after directions are given and help others to do the same. -You usually stay focused during reading time. -You usually find your journal and start writing your responses in your log.	Outstanding -You take full advantage of your reading/writing time and start immediately after directions are given. -You stay focused during reading time and help others that may become distracted. -You comment on the reading with your classmates. -You find your journal right away when it is time to transition into writing your responses in your journal.
