Correct Dimensions
10 pts

Project is created on the template provided in class. Resolution set at 150 dpi. A minimum of 5 images are used in the creation of the cover.

Project is not on the CD template and/or resolution is below 150 dpi. Fewer than 2 images are used in the project

Project has correct width and height and template was used, but does not have the correct dpi or Project has incorrect width and height or not on template but uses the correct dpi. Fewer than 4 images are used

Color Correction

All images must be color corrected prior to compositing. Image must come from royalty free sites such as www.morguefile or www.sxc.hu. Please save these individual images in a folder with layers showing. Each image must have at least a levels correction.

Project contains color corrected images, however, layers are flattened, or images are saved in an improper format (.jpg, gif, etc.)

All images are color corrected effectively using multiple adjustment layers and/or masks to target adjustments selectively.

The finished CD Cover communicates clearly the designer's interests, dreams, hopes and/or past events and communicates the designer's visual story at a basic level.
Advanced

Project contains all 5 elements of gestalt and elements combine seamlessly to intensify the pieces visual design and elevate the design to a comprehensive and complete whole.
