Monet Reflection and Computer Art Impressionism Painting 
Students will learn about Claude Monet and Impressionism. Students must go online to do some research on Monet. They will find one of their favorites of Monet's and will recreate it using impressionistic techniques demonstrating their understanding of Impressionism through a painted visual art piece.

The texture did not fit the area of impressionism and complementary colors were not used. No light source is visible in the student's painting. Student may or may not have chosen a picture of water or nature to paint.

The student's art work showed an exceptional understanding of Impressionism through the variety of nature, textures, lighting, and bright, complementary colors to create a visually balanced and unified piece of artwork.

The student showed satisfactory understanding of Impressionism using several textures, some lighting techniques, bright, colors and nature for their work of art.
Needs Improvement

The student showed minimal or no understanding of Impressionism using very little texture, no lighting techniques, very few bright colors, and may or may not have used nature in their painting.

The student demonstrated exceptional art skills through the proper use of color, texture, light, and nature. The artwork was was well thought out, organized, and neat.

The student demonstrated some artistic skills through the proper use of color , texture, light and nature. The artwork was satisfactory in organization and neatness.
Needs Improvement

The student demonstrated little or no artistic skills through the use of color, light and nature. There was very little skill applied through the artwork. Artwork was poorly organized and presentation was not neat.
Behavior/Clean-up/Participation

Outstanding

The student actively participated in the reading and learning activities without causing disruption. During painting times, the student was quiet and concentrated on their artwork. The student worked well with peers and used and cleaned all classroom tools appropriately.
Satisfactory

The student participated in the reading and learning activities with minimal disruption. During painting time, the student was quiet and concentrating on their artwork with reminders. Student worked well with peers and needed little help to use and clean classroom tools appropriately.
Needs Improvement

The student was disruptive during the learning activities and demonstrations. The student needed several reminders to concentrate on their artwork. The student was not cooperative with teacher or peers and may or may not have used and cleaned the classroom tools appropriately.
