The students have to act as an immigrant. They have to write a letter home to their loved ones explaining their experiences they have faced coming to america and since being in america. Whether are happy with their experience or not.

Creativity	Poor Students added little to no imagination to the letter. As if they were just trying to get the letter over with.	Fair Students letter is creative. They add other outside information to spice up the essay. But it lacks immagination.	Good Students letter is creative and fun to read. They had fun with the essay and added imagination to their letter.
Organization	Poor Students letter lacks any sort of organization. The facts they have are scattered all over the letter and the letter doesnt make any sense.	Fair Students letter is organized but they might have scattered facts and is a little unorganized and confusing for the reader.	Good Students letter is very organized where their thoughts go in chronological order and make sense to the reader.
Content	Poor Students letter contains little to no key ideas. They didnt include a reaction to the process they just went through.	Fair Students letter contains some key ideas but might have left one or two ideas out. They might not have given their reaction to the process they just went through.	Good Student letter contains information and key ideas from the whole process of immigration. Including passage, getting into america, what happened once they got to america, and their reaction to the process that they just went through.
