Calder - Mobile

Students will create a kinetic sculpture using wire, chip board, string, utilizing design and balance in their composition.

Level 2 The students attempted to construct but didn't problem solve or use time wisely. The student seldomly asked for help. *Balance was attempted but poor.	Level 3 The students stayed on task. The student asked for help when finding something difficult, but kept trying. *Balance was achieved .	Level 4 The mobile looks completed, pieces sculpted, neat and smooth. The students did not put thought or effort into the mobile creation.	Level 2 *The student chose the design theme, which is apparent, but attempted it it without any added effort.	Level 3 *The student chose the design theme and it was well executed with good craftsmanship and unifying design. In some ways, design could've been more unified or complete-looking. Craftsmanship 20 pts Craftsmanship of the mobile pieces.	Level 1 *paid no attention to the subject matter and the craftsmanship was shabby. Color scheme not evident. Edges are rough, unfinished, not sanded or smooth.	Level 2 *Mobile pieces were barely considered and craftsmanship was not a priority. Poorly painted, not enough tints and shades were used.	Level 3 *The sculpture showed evidence of attention to detail in the pieces and the craftsmanship. Color scheme and tints and shades used.	Level 4 *The mobile pieces are well constructed and have excellent craftsmanship. Colors unified, tints and shades smooth and uniform.	YOUR SCORE
