PRONUNCIATION and FLUENCY 5 pts Pronouncing words in such a way that native speaker would understand what is being said. Easy, smooth flow of speech.	Exemplar Phonetically correct. Error free. Quick, continuous flow. Natural pauses.	Proficient Comprehensible, generally correct. One or two major errors. Occasional hesitation, searching for words; nevertheless it sounds quite natural.	Emerging It sounds quite natural (even if reading), but with halting in search of words AND/OR 3 major errors in pronunciation.	Beginning Often halting, hesitating OR flow was not natural. It was quite evident that you were reading. AND 3+ errors in pronunciation.
