Bridling Student will be tested on the correct application of the bridle.
	Poor Failing 5 pts	Fair Needs Improvement 10 pts	Excellent Mastery Level 20 pts
Position Student stands in correct position	Poor Student was standing in an unsafe spot when bridling	Fair Student was standing in an unsafe area and then corrected themselves	Excellent Student was standing to the left of the horse's head facing the horse
Aware of Surroundings Student is aware of surroundings before removing the halter	Poor Student had a lack of attention and caution at the time of bridling	Fair Student made an error in judgment but then corrected the error	Excellent Student is entirely aware of surroundings and their horse's body language
Removing Halter Removes halter and has either the halter, leadrope or reins around the horse's neck while bridling	Poor Student fails to put something around the horse's neck	Fair Student has something around the neck, but struggles with the application	Excellent Student has something around the neck and has excellent technique when applying the bridle
Application of Bit Student places thumb in the side of the mouth in order to apply the bit	Poor Student fails to place thumb in the horse's mouth	Fair Student places thumb in mouth but does not have control of the bit	Excellent Student successfully uses thumb and has control of the bit
Adjustments Student buckles and adjusts the bridle correctly to the horse	Poor Student does not adjust the bridle	Fair Student does not adjust the bridle correctly to the horse	Excellent Student properly adjusts bridle to the individual horse (utilizes keepers)
