Rubric for Art Digital photography Student created a digital photo portfolio in I movie using photography they took to represent the theme of their choice. There were 3 phases of this assignment based on, taking the required images, creating the pages in photoshop, and Imovie, and developing an artist statement about their work.

Principles of design

Poor60-69

The design principles of photography were not used correctly in any of the photos.
Photo were older images and not taken for this assignment.
Fair 70-79

Fair detail in images. Some choice of the principles are evident to their work. Images were a combination of new and older photos that did not go with this assignment.
Good 80-89

Good detail in image; Student paid attention to a good amount of principles to develop a well composed image.
Excellent 90-100

Excellent detail was evident in each photo. Student took the time needed to compose the image and think of the elements that make a good picture.
Creativity of pages

Pages created does not show a creative approach to the assignment. Not all pages are complete. missing work.
Fair 70-79

Fair representation of assigned objectives; lacks originality and shows little or no evidence of trying anything unusual. Pages are basic in color and limited in any type of design.
Good 80-89

Good representation of assigned objectives. The student has explored creative solutions to the assignment. Pages are well thought out.
Excellent 90-100

Image demonstrates a very creative approach to the assignment; student has expanded on the basic requirements. It is clear that the student explored several choices/solutions to the assignment.
I movie requirements

I movie does not demonstrate visual interest and creativity in composition. Not enough pages were added. missing key componets.
Fair 70-79

I movie demonstrates little visual interest and creativity in composition, no music was added or transitions.
Good 80-89

I movie demonstrates some visual interest and creativity in composition, Music was added but timing between clips was either too short or long for viewing.
Excellent 90-100

I movie demonstrates exceptional visual interest and creativity in composition Music was added and transitions give the viewer enough time to view the movie
Artist statement

Photo was saved in the wrong format. Student put forth a good amount of effort. There were a few days of inconsistence.
Excellent 90-100

Photo was taken and turned in on time. Student work consistently everyday to complete assignment on time.
