Entering Room	Ineffective Enters room noisily. Walks around the room. Does not sit in assigned seat without having to be spoken to. Headphones are visible and out. Cell phone or other electronic devices are out and visible. Does not take out pen or pencil. Does not get notebook and turn to new page.	Developing Enters the room quietly. Has to be told to get notebook and to sit in assigned seat. Headphones/ electronic devices are out and visible. Has to be told to write the correct heading. May not start the warm up write away. Talking to other students in the class.	Effective Enters the room quietly. Gets notebook and sits in assigned seat immediately without being told. Headphones and electronic devices are put away. Immediately turns to new page and writes the correct heading. Does not start the warm up right away. May speak to partner or peer.	Highly Effective Enters the room quietly.
