A Persuasive Speech The student will present a 3-4 min. speech on a topic of choice. The student will intend to convince the audience to accept the point of view given by the student regarding the chosen topic.
	Poor The student does not demonstrate the criterion listed. 1 pts	Fair The student exhibits minimal demonstration of criteria listed. 2 pts	Good The student exhibits average demonstration of criteria listed. 3 pts	Excellent The student exhibits above average demonstration of criteria listed. 4 pts
Intent 4 pts The student's intent to persuade the audience was clear and convincing.	Poor	Fair	Good	Excellent
Content 4 pts The student provided content which was understandable, interesting and complete. Student includes a minimum of two specific points for evidence / support for their side and one specific point on the other side.	Poor	Fair	Good	Excellent
Presentation 4 pts The student presents with appropriate volume, movements, demeanor and stance.	Poor	Fair	Good	Excellent
