Content Understands simple everyday questions asked in french and can answer them.	Exemplary Replied without hesitation and answer was correct for the question asked.	Proficient Replied with only a small amount of hesitation to think about the question, and answer was correct.	Adequate Had to think about the question before answering and the answer demonstrated student was not sure if it was correct.	IEA Student was unable to demonstrate understanding of the question or oral reproduction of an answer
Fluency and Pronunciation Speaks with an authentic accent and pronounces words smoothly, correctly and with confidence.	Exemplary Uses authentic french accent, replies with confidence, all words pronounced correctly.	Proficient Uses understandable french accent, replies with some confidence, one or two words may not be pronounced correctly.	Adequate Replies to the question with some errors in pronunciation some words hard to understand.	IEA Student is unable to formulate an answer and demonstrates no ability to pronounce any words correctly.
Preparation Used class time provided to prepare for the questions.	Exemplary Student used all the class time provided to practice and perfect their answers.	Proficient Student used most of the class time provided to practice and perfect their answers.	Adequate Student wasted some class time and so was not totally prepared for the questions.
