Space Used space to balance elements of design.	Excellent! Balanced foreground and background compositions. Space used well on both sides.	Good Some background elements. Space somewhat unbalanced.	Fair Unbalanced composition. Few elements in the background.	Poor Unfinished composition.
Drawing Craftsmanship Level of effort during project and attention to detail.	Excellent! Zero eraser marks visible. Ruler was used for straight edges. Edges are clear and easy to identify. Color was used perfectly, no white space showing.	Good Most eraser marks were not visible. Ruler was used for most straight lines. Color was used well, some white space showing.	Fair Eraser marks were somewhat visible. Straight lines were hand drawn. Color was used throughout, but was messy in application.	Poor Eraser marks were visible throughout. Sloppy lines were drawn. No color or color was incomplete and messy.
Followed Directions Used layout rules and comic book elements in design.	Excellent! Background imagery is present. Character designed well and there are bubble letters or block letters with excellent shadows.	Good Background imagery is present.
