Visual Art Elements - Assessment

This rubric will be used to assess the students ability to show that they understand art elements and are able to think critically, and respond to visual art pieces.

Responding/Sharing Neatness, precision, care.	Achieved The student is able to discuss their art piece and is an expert on the given element. It is evident that they fully understand their art element.	Developed The student is able to discuss their art piece and knows quite a bit of information on the given element. They adequately understand their art element.	Developing The student has difficulty discussing their art piece and knows very little information on the given element. They show little evidence of understanding their art element.	Working toward The student is not able to discuss their art piece and knows nothing about the given element. They show no understanding of their art element.
Creativity/ Originality Inventiveness, expression of ideas and imagination.	Achieved The art piece demonstrates some personal expression and logical problem solving skills.
