Gestures for Vocabulary

For this activity, students will make a gesture for each of their vocabulary words, and take a picture of it. They also will provide an answer key and a caption for each gesture in case a student needs a hint to guess the gesture

Gesture	Level 0 Student does not create gestures. The student has made other types of formats such as drawings, scenes, paintings, or other representations.	Level 1 Student creates gestures for 50% or less of the words. The gestures were not made using a paper slide or digital slides. The gestures are vague and the reader may be unsure of what word matches with the gesture.	Level 2 The student creates gestures for more than 50% of the words, but not all of the words. The gestures are clear and the reader can figure out most of the words from the gesture. The gestures were made using a paper slide or digital slide.	Level 3 Student creates a gesture for all words and takes a picture or video and puts it in a slide show presentation. The gesture is clear and specific and you can tell what the word associated with the gesture is.
Answer Key	Level 0 No answer key has been provided.	Level 1 Student provides an answer key for the slide show. Less than 80% of the answers are correct.	Level 2 Student provides an answer key for the slide show presentation. 80%-99% of the answers are correct.	Level 3 Student provides an answer key for the slide show presentation. All of the answers are correct.
