Backhand Throwing

Excellent

Student consistently displays correct usage of the pump fake & the pivot foot & also steps with the same foot as their throwing hand to make the throw. Correct technique & control of the frisbee are evidenced consistently the proper flight(flat & smooth) & accuracy of the frisbee.
Good

Student uses the pump fake & pivot foot more often than not. Student consistently steps with the correct foot when throwing/faking. The frisbee flies smoothly & accurately to the intended target most of the time.
Satisfactory

Student fakes sometimes and/or not convincingly. Footwork is correct approximately 50% of the time. The flight path of the frisbee is flat, smooth & accurate approx 1/2 the time.
Unsastisfactory

Student fakes the throw inconsistently & not convincingly and often exhibits poor footwork, i.e. changing pivot foot & traveling. The frisbee flight path is often angular & wobbly & often inaccurate.
Poor

Student rarely fakes the throw and exhibits poor footwork, i.e. changing pivot foot & traveling, with frequency. The frisbee flight path is almost never accurate.

Student struggles to accurately throw the frisbee to target, disc often flies wobbly & angular with frequency. Footwork is often uncoordinated & erradic.
Poor

Student is rarely able to accurately throw the frisbee, which flies wobbly & angular with frequency. Footwork is uncoordinated & erradic.
Teamwork, Rules and Fairplay

Student consistently uses the whole team.
Often communicates with & encourages the team. Student displays an excellent sense of fair play. Student always follows the rules and never argues with the other students.

Student rarely uses the same teammates and often uses the whole team.
Sometimes communicates with & encourages the team. Student displays a very good sense of fair play. Student almost always follows the rules and rarely argues with other students.
Satisfactory

Student generally uses the same teammates but occasionally uses the whole team.
Communicates with the team approx 50% of the time. Student displays a good sense of fair play. Usually follows the rules and occasionally argues with other students, but overall, their progress is satisfactory.
Unsastisfactory

Often uses the same teammates &/or does not show much communication with teammates. Student displays lack of fair play. Sometimes follows rules and argues with other students.
Poor

Student almost always uses the same teammates & rarely communicates with teammates. Student shows poor sense of fair play, cheats, plays too rough & is overall a negative participant.
Movement in the game

Excellent

Student consistently moves to open spaces on offense, and consistently moves to cover their mark on defense.
Good

Student consistently moves to open spaces on offense, and generally moves to cover their mark on defense.
Satisfactory

The student sometimes moves to open spaces on offense, but does little on defense.
Unsastisfactory

The student moves inconsistently to help the team on both offense and defense.
Poor

The student rarely moves on either offense or defense.
Catching

Excellent

Student is consistently able to catch the frisbee with one or two hands.
Student consistently moves towards the frisbee while it is in flight.
Good

Student is consistently able to catch the frisbee with two hands and occasionally with one.
Student moves towards the frisbee while it is in flight.
Satisfactory

Student is occasionally able to catch the frisbee, but shows little or no fear and a genuine attempt to catch it.
Unsastisfactory

Student often does not makes attempts to adjust hands, body or spacing while frisbee is in flight in an attempt to catch it.
Poor

Student often shows no interest or attempt to catch the frisbee.
