Matching Seams	Poor Project has obvious matching and size problems due to inexact sewing. There are many mistakes evident in matching.There are several seams that do not match (1/8 inch or more). There are a few signs of folds on front of pillow top. Seams are pressed open as appropriate, but may show signs of unevenness.	Good Student pressed seams open as needed, Made final pressing to pillow top on both sides of pillow top. There are not signs of folds on front of pillow top. Pressing does not cause the pillow top to be out of shape.
Puckering	Poor There are many creases and puckers evident in pillow top. Little effort has been made to press out puckers.	Fair There are just a few inconsequential creases and puckers evident in pillow top. Effort has been made to press out puckers with some success.	Good There is no evidence of puckers or creases in pillow top except for a very few that are very inconsequential. Effort has been made to press out any issues with success in the end.
Shape of Pillow Top	Poor Pillow top is out of shape and will require a great deal of trimming to have right angles at corners..	Fair Pillow top is a bit out of shape and will require a little trimming to have right angles at corners.	Good Pillow top is only a tiny amount out of shape and will require just the smallest amount of trimming to bring it in to shape.
Time Managment	Poor The student did not finish project in the time allotted. Student required many reminders to stay focused on the task. Required significant assistance from peers or teacher.	Fair Project was completed but required extra time may have been required. Few reminders to stay focused; on task when reminded. Generally able to work with some supervision.	Good Project was turned in on time or early. On task and worked independently.
Staying on Task	Poor Student does not stay on task and is constantly talking, causing them to stop their work and disrupting others. Shows little personal effort to complete pillow top in a timely manner.	Fair	Good
