Proper Technique	Needs Improvement Is able to perform a few step segments properly (tempo, 8 count steps, few smooth transitions). 3 or 5 errors.	Good Performs step segments properly (tempo, 8 count steps, mostly smooth transitions). 2 or 3 errors.	Excellent Performs step segments properly (tempo, 8 count steps, very smooth transitions). Less than 1 error.
Participation	Needs Improvement Does not participate fully in step class. Shows little or no interest in the task at hand. Unable to follow instructions throughout most of class.	Good Participates fully in step class. Is able to follow Instructions clearly throughout most of the class. On task most of the time.	Excellent Participates fully in step class.
