Being President of the United States

Students have to pretend they are the president of the United States. They will have to include who is on their staff, what their responsibilities are, and what they would like to do as president of the United States. They will do research on what a president does and then they will present it to the class. This is an introduction to leanring about different presidents and what a president does.

Research	Excellent The student has used as many research materials as possible to get exact accounts. The research is correct and can be backed up.	Fair The student has used some research materials but has trouble giving the excat information about the president. The student has a hard time of backing up information.	Poor The student has done no research and has put what he/she knows and not the facts.
Presentation	Excellent The student makes eye contact with each person including the teacher. The student knows the information and can answer the questions thoroughly.	Fair The student looks at the paper and reads it. He/she can answer the questions.	Poor Reads the paper, no eye contact and does not talk loud enough to hear.
Accuracy	Excellent The information on the presidents is accurate from research.	Fair Some of the information is what the student already knows and the rest is from research.	Poor The student has no accuracte information about the presidents or what they do.
