Excellent

Student kept all objects in proportions both length and width. The sizes between the objects are appropriate sizes because student used viewfinder or sighting techniques. All elipses are correctly drawn based on how close or far the student is to the object.
Good

Students kept most of the objects in proportions both length and width. The sizes between the objects are pretty appropriately sized due to viewfinder or sighting techniques. Elipses are drawing pretty correctly some of them are a little off.
Fair

Students have quite a few proportions off. Sizes both width and length are a little misdrawn. Elipses are slightly angles and not drawn very accurately. Student didn’t utilize the viewfinder or sighting techniques very well.
Poor

Students have sizes extremely off. The lengths and widths are inaccurate to the still life. Elipses are very rounded and not drawn correctly based on the students’ views. Student didn’t use viewfinder or sighting techniques much.
Value

Excellent

Student matched values for each hue. The artist has a very large range of values in their piece. Correctly placed and matched values within shadows. Used eraser tools to grab highlights and glares and shaded in value throughout almost the entire piece. Student has a nice smooth texture and used the blending tool or their finger to blend.
Good

Student matched almost all the values and has a semi-wide range of values in their piece. Some of the values are a little off, either too dark or too light. Texture is pretty smooth, but pencil marks are still visible when the artist was shading.
Fair

Student has a limited range of values and has quite a few values shaded in, incorrectly. Texture looks rushed and pencil marks when shading are still pretty visible.
Poor

Student has a very limited range of values and isn’t correctly shading the values seen in their cylinders. Student rushed through this process and has very rough-scratchy texture because of shading.
Sketching-Sighting Techniques

Excellent

The sketch was done well and the sketch does not show in the final piece and minimal outlines are visible after shading.The student was very consistent when using their sighting techniques and it shows in their final piece.
Good

The sketch is still slightly apparent in the final piece and very few outlines are visible after shading. The student could have used the sighting techniques a little better.
Fair

The sketching is pretty much still apparent in the final piece and a lot of outlines are still visible after shading. The student didn't try to use their techniques as much as they should.
Poor

Everything is still outlines and it still looks like a sketch, not a final piece. Student used very little sighting.
Drawing Detail

Excellent

The student went above and beyond to try and capture the small details. These details could be highlights, glares, textures, writing details, and even specific details within the shadows.
Good

The student added some details, but kept it pretty straight forward and somewhat basic.
Fair

The student has very little detailing within the object or around it.
Poor

It's a very minimal drawing with almost no details.
Craftsmanship

Paper was taken care of very well. There are no rips, folds, or tears. Pencil marks and smudges are not visible.
Good

Paper was taken care of pretty well. There are very minor damages. There are very few marks and smudges still visible.
Fair

Paper wasn’t take care of pretty well. There are a decent amount of damages to it. There are pencil marks and smudges throughout the piece.
Poor

Paper is highly folded, ripped and torn. The damages have distorted the drawing. There are still marks and smudges all over the work.
