KWL Chart	Re-Do KWL Chart is glued in your notebook. Nothing is written on it or I cant read your handwriting. No contribution to the class discussion	Emerging KWL Chart is half filled out. You have neat handwriting. Your KWL makes sense and you have great idea flowing. Little addition to the classroom discussion.	Proficient KWL chart has something in every category. Student has really put thought into each category. Added to classroom discussion	Advanced Sheet is completely filled out. Student uses the whole class time working. Adds to class discussion could even lead the class discussion.
Google Earth	Re-Do Student does not find ancient Egypt on Google Earth. Or is not on the correct website. Not using class time wisely.	Emerging Student finds ancient Egypt. However, distracts others around them and stops exploring once they find Egypt	Proficient Students Finds ancient Egypt. Student uses class time wisely and looks at present day Egypt most of the classtime	Advanced Student finds ancient Egypt. Explores present day Egypt the whole class period. Finds something that he can share with other students.
Deciphering Hieroglyphics	Re-Do Student Fills out 25% of the words correctly.	Emerging Students fill out 50% of the words correctly.	Proficient Students fill out 75% of the words completely.	Advanced Students decipher the message and get time to practice writing their own hieroglyphics.
Ancient Egypt Pyramids	Re-Do Student does not work in his group. Refuses to do any work. Using materials inappropriately. G	Emerging Student helps group very little. Tends to mess around and get others off task.	Proficient Student is engaged in the lesson. Is a respectful group member and helps group in multiple ways.	Advanced Student is a respectful group member. Does everything he/she can to help group come up with the tallest pyramid using the least amount of money.
Fish Mummification	Re-Do Student only completes 25% of his mummification process. Uses materials inappropriately.	Emerging Student remembers and completes 50% of the mummification process on his/her fish.	Proficient Students remembers and applies 75% of the mummification process to his/her fish.	Advanced Student completes the mummification process completely. Not missing any steps.
