Planning	Poor Little to no planning was involved in students project.	Fair some planning was involved in the creation of the project	Good Student had adequate amount of planning with multiple revisions.
Cutting, Shapping, Sanding	Poor Un-equal sides, in-proper use of rasp or file. Rasp and File marks. Sanding marks and or not sanded smoothly.	Fair project could have been sanded smoother or improper grit pattern followed.	Good All sides cut to equal lengths, proper use of rasp and file, no rasp or file marks. Sanded smooth with no cross Grain Sanding Marks.
Jointery	Poor Total lack of care for joinery. Large gaps, Un-even peices.	Fair Gaps in joints, in-appropriate joinery method.	Good Joinery method is appropriate and joint is tight with no gaps or un-even.
Fastening	Poor Glue only. Or Fasteners only.	Fair Over Abundance of fasteners or to few fasteners were used. One or two fasteners placed in the incorrect location.	Good Proper amount of fasteners were used. Fasteners located in proper locations
Pattern	Poor Pattern was not followed or was ignored.	Fair Some alterations were made that do not show in the pattern.	Good The pattern was followed perfectly. All items match the planning stages.
Finishing	Poor No finish work or lack of detail during finishing stages.	Fair Un-even stain or finish. Few runs or drips. Not smooth to the touch or only one coat applied.	Good Consistent Stain, even finish with no runs or drips. Smooth to the touch and multiple coats applied.
