Plays Correct Chords	Below Plays some of the chords correctly.	Approaching Plays more than half of the chords correctly with adequate fingering choices.	Meets Standard Plays almost all of the chords correctly with good fingering choices.	Exceeds Standard Plays every chord correctly with excellent fingering choices.
Performs with sense of rhythm	Below Plays some of the selection with adequate rhythmic sense.	Approaching Plays more than half of the selection with adequate rhythmic sense.	Meets Standard Plays almost all of the selection with good rhythmic sense.	Exceeds Standard Plays all of the selection with excellent rhythmic sense.
Balance	Below Plays too loud to annoy other people.	Approaching Plays too soft.	Meets Standard Places at the correct dynamic level for the group.	Exceeds Standard Places at the correct dynamic and changes dynamics as needed to complement the group.
Transitions	Below Most fingerings incorrect and transitions are not smooth. Review all chords and practice transitioning in various orders, going slowly with proper finger movement.
