Steady Beat in K-3 Grade 
This rubric is to evaluate the student's proficiency of steady beat performance. 1. Students use "spider fingers"; tapping the steady beat silently on legs (extension: using icons as representations of the beat) while listening 2. Students use "spider fingers" while performing the chant or song. 3. Students use locomotive and non-locomotive movement to show steady beat. 4. Students use rhythm instruments to demonstrate steady beat, listening and/or performing.
