Cubism inspired drawings in which students "shatter" or break up the space on their page in order to practice using a variety of values within the broken spaces.

No thought of of composition arrangment is eveident prior to starting the drawing. The student did not consider space on his/her page, drew subjects too small or created too many. one side of the composition may appear to be very heavy. Visual babalnce was not considered.

Student could have applied more thought about his/her composition arrangment prior to starting the drawing. The student demonstrated limited knolwedge of using organized space and visual balance, but did attempt to do so. Some subjects may have been drawn too small, too large, or too many. One side of the composition may appear to be heavy.
B - Above Average

Composition was thought out. The student demonstarted the use of organized space. The student sucessfully created visual balance by placing subjects throughout the page without causing one side of the paper to appear "heavy."
A- Excelling

Composition is well-thought out. the student demonstarted the use of organized space by not drawing too small, too large, or too much information on the page.
