An original design is divided or shattered and the segments created are villed in with values that lend an overall Cubism effect.

Students picked between two still life sets that were set-up in the classroom to draw. The still life included bottles, lamp fixtures, jugs and burlap fabric. A quick 2 or 3-day drawing project.

Using various basic paint colours, students will blend and shade to create a sky at sunset. They will work to create depth of field in their picture, shadow and texture.

A rubric that properly evaluates the artistic process. It measures the various phases and approaches that are necessary in the assessment of a project or a work of art.

Students will draw their hand from direct observation and apply drawing and shading techniques they have learned to render a final drawing that illustrates their understanding of drawing concepts we have studied in class.

Students will produce a 2 point perspective drawing using a cityscape of their choice. The y need to use 2 vp, horizon line and create a setting.

You will create a new logo for something you believe in. You will be using Photoshop for this assignment. Your final Logo must be relevant to your chosen belief, it must CLEARLY identify what your cause is, use appropriate fonts, color and balance in your design according to color and design principles discussed in class.

Students will create logos for their own clothing company based on criteria we have outlined in class: logos should be decipherable (clear), memorable, meaningful (reasonable explanation of logo), neat and simple.

TASK: Students studied logo designs and mid 7th-19th century Medieval calligraphy styles. They then created a letter or slogan for their logo using calligraphy and black and gold paint usually used in Medieval calligraphy writing. CCLS: RST.6-8.3, WHST.6-8.8, and L.8.6. Students demonstrate independence. Students studied arts associated careers & design choices that artists make an how aesthetics influence choice that consumers make.
