Positive & Negative Space Animal Positive & Negative Space Animal Students will created a design using positive shapes and negative space. 	Fair 7 pts	Good 9 pts	Excellent 12 pts
Painted Animal Silhouette	Fair Silhouette doesn't resemble animal. The painting got a bit messy.	Good Animal Silhouette could have been more realistic and painted with a little more care.	Excellent Student chose an interesting animal shape. The silhouette was painted neatly.
Painting Techniques	Fair There are little or no designs on the finished piece. Includes only one painting technique.	Good Two or Three painting techniques are done, a little more work could have been done to improve project.	Excellent Five painting techniques were used throughout the background and makes for an excellent backdrop to your animal design.
Craftsmanship	Fair The project got messy and is unorganized.	Good Student had a good design and organization. But lacks a little in the detailed part of the project	Excellent Student carefully picked out colors and design while paying attention to fine detail.
Time and Effort	Fair More time in class could have been used for this project. Student was not focused.	Good Class time was wisely and student put for appropriate effort into the assignment.	Excellent Class time was used wisely. Much time and effort went into the planning and creation of the design.
