Monochromatic Painting 
Students will be able to utilize a monochromatic color chart (of their making) to use as a reference to create a painting of their self or a pet.

Student was able to apply concepts of tint, tones and shades to one color to create a multi-level color chart of their selected color. Each section has 11 tints, tones and shades and shows a gradation in the section: tint = dark to light, tone and shade= light to dark

Student was able to construct a color chart using one color that shows tints, tones and shades. Each section has a gradation of the color: 11 steps seen. tint should be dark to light and tones and shades should be light to dark

Student was able to display a finished piece that is mostly free of errors. More time could be used to correct paint drips or smudges, but overall the finish is acceptable to the viewer.

Student was able to illustrate understanding but lacked neatness in the final piece. There are areas of drips, errors or smudges that interfere with the viewing of the work.
