Group Dance Composition (Nutcracker)

For this project, students will work in groups to view and then manipulate portions of The Nutcracker ballet. Each group will be assigned a part of Act 2 which they will watch and then manipulate into a piece of their own. They must take the original work's choreography and make it into a modern dance piece, still reflecting the same themes and qualities of the original.

The group put a sufficient amount of time/ effort into preparing for the performance.	Basic Work reflects okay effort from this group. The group shows some interest for their work.Minimal time/ effort spent preparing for the performance.	Poor Work reflects very little effort on the part of this group. Group enthusiasm is low. Very little effort/ time spent preparing for the performance.	No Effort Made no effort into working with group or contributing, but stood with group.
