Small Engine Project 
This assessment is based on as an individual lab on our engines portion of the program. The students are all using running Briggs and Stratton engines. The student will disassemble the engine according to the manuals instructions and clean all the parts. With the engine fully disassembled the student will then present to the instructor a short oral explanation of the parts and the jobs the preform in the engine. The student will reassemble following instructions in the manual and run the engine.

Student knows and is able to identify and explain necessary theories for engines and cooling systems

Student is able to identify and explain necessary theories for engine and cooling systems with some assistance.

Student is unable to identify or explain concepts of engines and cooling systems without major prompting.
Unacceptable

Student is unable to either identify or explain any related theories to the engine or cooling systems.
